About Wallace Memorial Cemetery
Nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia in the heart of the Greenbrier Valley, Wallace Memorial Cemetery is a peaceful resting place for any loved one who has passed away. Wallace Memorial Cemetery is a family owned and operated corporation that was established in 1955 by the Wallace Family.
Wallace Memorial Cemetery is located just 13 miles west of Lewisburg, WV on Interstate 64 at the Sam Black Church Exit or 16 miles east of Rainelle, WV on Rt. 60.
Our Heritage
Beginning in 1955, Robert L. "Bob" Wallace and his wife, Eloise Houck Wallace owned and operated Wallace Memorial Cemetery and in the 1970's guided the construction of the area's first mausoleum and expansion of the cemetery to an additional 110 acres.
Today, Bob and Eloise's three children own and operate the cemetery. Their three children include two sons, Robert "Bob" Wallace, II of Dayton, Ohio and William "Bill" Wallace of Clintonville, WV and one daughter, Jeanne Wallace Campbell of Lewisburg, WV. Jeanne's husband, Jerry Campbell, is now overseeing everyday operations of the cemetery.
Our Facilities
Wallace Memorial Cemetery has been regarded as one of the prettiest and well maintained cemeteries of the region. We offer a large section of gravesites, crypts, and niches that fit the needs of any family. Wallace Memorial Cemetery is a perpetual care cemetery, which means that a percentage of graves, crypts, and niche sales are put into a fund to assure future funds are available for the maintenance of the cemetery. Wallace Memorial Cemetery offers pre-need sales of graves, crypts, niches, and monuments that allow families to purchase items in advance with less worry at the time of death. Located on the back wall of the mausoleum, in the courtyard is a Wall of Honor which recognizes military veterans who have served in all branches of services. Also the wall honors police, fire, and EMS units.
